How Can I Help?

During this Pandemic

May 2020 Baby Bottle Fundraiser

With the blessings and grace of God and support from friends like you, Aid for Women’s pregnancy care centers and residential programs continue. During the COVID-19 crisis, our staff and volunteers have stood strong as we continue to provide critical life-saving services — including 24/7 helplines, ultrasound exams, crisis pregnancy support, abortion pill reversal and housing. During the crisis, our centers have seen a 20% increase in the number of at-risk women who are coming through our doors for help with unexpected pregnancies.

BUT WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT… Due to the COVID-19 crisis, two of our big spring fundraising events were cancelled, and our spring fundraising outreach to the church community was not possible. Each year, these efforts provide essential funding for our continued operations.

Please consider supporting our MAY 2020 VIRTUAL BABY BOTTLE FUNDRAISER as an individual, family or group. Together, we will continue to empower women to choose life for their unborn babies and give them hope for the future. “Fill” a baby bottle with your ONLINE DONATION USING THIS FORM. Our goal is to raise $50,000 by May 31st!

St. Blasé Food Pantry Needs You Help!

Catholic Charities food pantries are seeing record demand because of the economic impact of the COVID-19 crisis. Our food pantries at St. Blasé in Summit is serving higher numbers of families than usual, many of them first-time clients who have suddenly found themselves out of work.

At the same time, we are finding it harder and harder to acquire some common food items. As a result, we cannot provide families with as much food as they really need.

We need your help to unsure that our pantry shelves stay stocked. Here’s what you can do…

  • Make a Monetary Donation or Fundraise for Catholic Charities – Donate or Fundraise online at or mail a check payable to Catholic Charities to 12731 S. Wood Street, Blue Island 60406.
  • Make an In-Kind Donation – Organize a food drive; collect or purchase food for our pantry at St. Blasé or donate items from your home. Donation delivery and/or pick-up can be arranged by contacting St. Blasé Food Pantry at 708-563-2407.

We are grateful for the outpouring of generosity we have already seen. There can be not better time when we can come together to help feed those in our community who have been so seriously impacted through no fault of their own.

We ask for your continue support and prayers as we struggle to feed our neighbors in need in the southwest suburbs.

With gratitude,
Christopher Torres
Regional Director
