IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN! – Time to get out there and let everyone know what a great parish we have. St. Michael’s is planning to join in the Taste of Orland again on August 2, 3, and 4. We will have a booth and will pass out information regarding all the wonderful activities and ministries that help make up our parish family. But we’re in need of volunteers for a few hours at a time to do this. We’ll need volunteers for the following times:
Friday, August 2 from 5 to 8:30 PM
Saturday, August 3 from 1 to 8:30 PM
Sunday, August 4 from 1 to 7 PM
We’re planning a lot more children’s / teen activities this year, so we need EVERYONE’s help (the young and young at heart)! We need people who are outgoing and friendly and will engage with those participating in the activities. Teens and 8th graders can earn service hours.
If you wish to help, please contact Kelly Martinez, Coordinator of Religious Education, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 708-873-4733 by Monday, July 29. Just leave your name, phone number, and e-mail info along with the hours you’ll be available, and Kelly will contact you.
Note, too, that adult volunteers (anyone over 18) need to be VIRTUS certified (required by our Archdiocese and the U.S. Bishops for adults who work with or are in contact with children and young adults). This involves a short training session that will be handled by Susan O’Connell of our parish office. Please contact her directly at email@example.com for details.
ALL ARE NEEDED! EARN SERVICE HOURS! – Please consider helping out. This is a great way to get the word out about our wonderful parish community. Follow Jesus’ instruction to invite others to “taste and see!”
