MARCH 2024 (PICTURES) – Lent was a Holy Time for the St. Michael Religious Education Students and Catechists – They learned from Deacon Colin about connecting their minds, hearts and personal stories to Holy Mass and were taught about God’s gifts within us from parishioner and artist Jack Handley, who creates many of the beautiful liturgical art pieces for our parish. Our younger students learned about serving as Jesus did by participating in a foot washing, while many Religious Education classes prayed the Stations of the Cross during Lent. Catechist Ted Meehan conducted an experiment to show students about forgiveness and many students created cards of hope and compassion for children at Mercy Home in Chicago to let them know they are loved and in our prayers.
