Liturgical and Music Ministries

Become a Minister in our Liturgies

Liturgical Ministries

Have you ever thought about becoming a Lector, Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist, Altar Server, Usher, Sacristan, Young Peoples’ Liturgy Facilitator or Liturgical Dancer, but were unsure of exactly what would be expected of you?

Do you want to share your belief in Catholic Baptism and/or Christian Marriage by becoming a Marriage Prep or Baptismal Prep Facilitator?

Willingness to serve in Liturgical or Sacramental Prep Ministry reflects a profound response to our Baptismal call to serve the people of God and a strong commitment to Christ and His Church.

If you have questions, contact Pat Chuchla in the Worship Office at or 708-873-4652, or the coordinator for the ministry in which you are interested.

Music Ministries

Are you gifted with singing or musical abilities and would like to become a cantor, choir member or musician for our liturgies?

The mission of Music Ministries at St. Michael Parish is to proclaim the gospel message through song by providing vibrant music for worship in our parish. The goal of the Director of Music Ministries is to develop a prayerful, singing assembly through preparation, education, celebration, evaluation, and personal ministry. There is an opportunity for every parishioner to participate: as a choir member, instrumentalist, cantor, or participant in congregational song.

If you have questions, contact Gary Patin in the Music Office at or 708-873-4627.
