Upholding the spirit of the mission of St. Michael Parish by representing the Parish as a whole.
The Parish Pastoral Council is one of the main consultative bodies with which the Pastor regularly meets. Its main focus is on the pastoral life of the parish community and it is composed of members of the parish and the Pastor. Through prayer, wisdom, discernment and consensus the Council seeks to understand and articulate the vision that Jesus has for this parish and to be the guardian of that vision.
The Parish Pastoral Council, with the Pastor, is responsible for the preparation, review and reevaluation of the Parish Mission Statement. It also must address the ongoing needs, parish goals, strategies for meeting these goals and the evaluation of progress made.
The Parish Pastoral Council is a discerning body that believes in shared wisdom as a way of reaching consensus in decision making.
