CAN YOU SERVE AS A EUCHARISTIC MINISTER OR LECTOR AT ST. MICHAEL?
Liturgy Training Sessions are on April 21, 27 and 29, 2026
Each one of us is called to serve our Lord and grow His church here on earth and perhaps you’re being called to serve at our Masses as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist or a Lector. Our Vicariate for the Archdiocese of Chicago is offering a Liturgy Training for Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist and Lectors.
These sessions provide training and formation for Liturgical Ministers and will be guided by Dr. Elizabeth-Anne Stewart. ALL trainees must attend the session on Tuesday, April 21; topics will include scripture, an overview of the liturgy, and discerning the call to liturgical ministry. On Monday, April 27, through prayer, reflection, and practice, participants will explore what it means to serve as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. On Wednesday, April 29, participants will learn the theological and practical skills necessary to proclaim the Word and serve as a Lector at Mass.
