JUNE 12-13, 2026 (PICTURES) – The 7th Annual Multi-Parish Home Build event was held at St. Michael Parish on June 12-13, 2026 – Volunteers helped with parking / safety, registration, hospitality, carpentry, and wall building. There were approximately 100 volunteers on Friday and around 180+ volunteers on Saturday from the seven churches in our Vicariate. Over 45 volunteers were from St. Michael Parish.
The workers built enough walls for two houses for families in need living near Gary, Indiana. The hospitality crew and the Knights of Columbus prepared and served meals, including grilled hamburgers / hotdogs, provided snacks, and kept all the workers hydrated.
It was a great two days, and the weather was wonderful. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped to make this a successful charitable event.
