Schoenstatt Women Gathering in Orland Park

Schoenstatt Women Orland Park will be having our monthly meeting on Saturday, October 24, here at St. Michael in the Ministry East Room starting at 9:30 AM.

We will be praying a Rosary and discussing highlights from the biography of Joseph Engling, who discovered the fire of mission zeal and the courage to face life’s surprises and difficulties after making his Covenant of Love with the Blessed Mother.

A Schoenstatt Woman of Orland Park shares: “A Covenant of Love goes beyond honoring and venerating Our Blessed Mother. It is a solemn and binding agreement we make with Our Lady. We pledge our love and sacrifices to the Capital of Grace in order that she will distribute the graces from his Divine Son to help us live a life of holiness. The shrines we create in our homes give us a place to bring our fears, disappointments, intentions, and petitions directly to her daily, not just when we visit the church. Since joining the Schoenstatt group, my relationship with Our Blessed Mother has grown deeper and stronger. I am reminded of the words of St. Mother Teresa: When feeling overwhelmed she prayed, “Mary, Mother of Jesus, please be a mother to me now.” She also said that holding her rosary was like holding my heavenly Mother’s hand. From the cross, Jesus said, ‘Behold thy Mother.’ At our home shrine, we can behold Our Lady, Our Mother, and Our Queen everyday.” – Shared by Alyce Frederick
