DECEMBER 21, 2019 (PICTURES) – St. Michael Hispanic Community celebrated the Holiday Celebration of “Posada”, commemorating the journey that Joseph and Mary made from Nazareth to Bethlehem in search of a safe refuge where Mary could give birth to the baby Jesus. At the end of the Posada journey, we enjoyed Christmas Carols (Villancicos) and children broke open a “piñata” to obtain candy and fruit hidden inside. Everyone celebrated with a feast and was welcome to bring a dish (pot luck) to share!
