APRIL 28, 2019 (PICTURES) – Celebrating our faith filled year at our End of Year Mass on April 28, 2019 at 9 AM. As a community of children, parents, and catechists led by Jesus, this year of faith formation classes has been one filled with prayer, smiles, service, listening to one another, compassion, understanding scripture, learning to live our Catholic faith, knowing that each of us is chosen and is loved unconditionally by God, and giving honor and gratitude to God for our His Grace.
We ended our year as we began… together at Mass, to pray and hear God’s Word and learn His message to us through RE student lectors and Deacon Colin (also one of our RE Confirmation Catechists), and for our greatest blessing of receiving Jesus in the Eucharist.
We were filled with God’s Love as we shared our joy with our parish community… as 6 RE families greeted everyone at each door… as 3 RE moms and their children sang with our parish Children’s Choir led by Choir Director and RE mom Gina Torbett and Cantor and RE Families Sharing Faith leader and RE mom Sarah Huie… as many children gathered in the chapel for YPLW (Young People’s Liturgy of the Word) with RE mom and Catechist Lisa Castaneda to hear from God at their level of comprehension… as RE Catechists and parents served as Eucharistic Ministers… as we gathered for hospitality after Mass with an abundance of treats graciously provided by many RE families. The Holy Spirit was working through so many of us! The energy was indescribable.
THANK YOU, truly and sincerely, with all the appreciation, gratitude, and love that those words can extend, to all RE students, parents, and especially our catechists for all you gave from your heart and of your self to show Christ in you all year. As God is always with us every moment of every day, we will continue to grow closer to Him, follow Him, and spread His Good News every day.
