FEBRUARY 2020 (PICTURES) – The Knights of Columbus Council #10858 thanks St. Michael Parishioners for a successful Donut Social and Wedding Renewal Mass in February 2020 and welcomes two new members and two new Sir Knights.
On Saturday, February 15, 2020 during the 6 PM Mass at St. Michael, our K of C council hosted the annual Wedding Renewal Mass. Fr. Geoffrey our council chaplain officiated with several couples renewing their vows. After Mass, everyone enjoyed cake & wine and certificates were handed out to those couples that had notified us in advance of their intent to participate.
On Sunday, February 23, 2020 after the 9 AM and 10:30 AM Masses, we held the 3rd quarterly St. Michael Donut Social for this fiscal year. We had around 130+ people enjoy the free Dunkin Donuts as well as king cake, brownies and other food items. Everyone also enjoyed the fellowship time with other parishioners.
On February 13, 2020, the Knights of Columbus Council #10858 welcomed two new members, Robert Connors and Lou Kulekowskis. These individuals were able to join the Knights with the new exemplification ceremony which allows new Knights to obtain their First through Third degrees (Charity, Unity and Fraternity) at one time. The ceremony was shown to all council members in attendance, so everyone there now has their 3rd degree.
On February 22, 2020 two Knights from Council #10858 joined 183 other Knights from northern Illinois for the Fourth-degree (Patriotism) exemplification ceremony held in Lisle Illinois. Lloyd Fojas and Vincent Candelero are now Sir Knights and can participate in the Knights’ Honor Guards.
