YEAR 2021 (PICTURE) – The Knights of Columbus Council # 10858 presented a plaque to Colin and Sarah Huie recognizing them as the Family of the Year for 2021. This recognition was based on Colin’s and Sarah’s many contributions to St. Michael Parish.
It was Colin and Sarah who spearheaded St. Michael’s Covid response team which helped us keep St. Michael open for Masses, Baptisms and Funerals last year during the pandemic. Colin and Sarah came up with the concept and implemented the color-coded tape system that we used to seat everyone requiring special distancing, as well as the process for registering everyone to allow the maximum number of people to attend mass.
Colin, of course, is very active with his duties as deacon assisting with Masses and Baptisms as well as other ministries. Sarah and their oldest daughter both are cantors and help lead the congregation in singing during Masses as well as at weddings and funerals. Sarah began the Family Sharing Faith program here at St. Michael.
