The 7th Annual 2026 Multi-Parish Mission Project will be held at St. Michael on June 12 and 13, 2026 – On Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13, volunteers from at least 7 parishes in the Chicago Archdiocese Vicariate V will come together at St. Michael Parish to build stud walls that will be used by Habitat for Humanity to build houses for low-income families.
- Friday, June 12 from 12 Noon to 3 PM (Dinner provided afterward) – We will cut and prepare the lumber.
- Saturday, June 13 from 8 AM to 2 PM (Breakfast items and Lunch Provided) – We will have groups nailing the stud walls together.
- Adults, 18 and older, only on Friday – Children are welcome on Saturday with an Adult.
- Watch for a date in the near future to sign up after Masses.
Churches participating include: St. Michael, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Elizabeth Seton, St. Stephen, St. George, St. Julie Billiart, and St. Damian.
We will need volunteers for a multitude of duties for this event – Come out and help build walls for houses for needy families – We’ll need volunteers to help in hospitality, preparing, and serving food to everyone. We’ll need volunteers to help with Parking, Safety, and Clean-up. We’ll need volunteers to help with measuring and cutting the lumber. We’ll need volunteers to help with hammering nails to assemble the wall sections. We’ll need volunteers to help with Registration – NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED – ALL TOOLS ARE PROVIDED!
