Every Sunday throughout the year (except Palm Sunday and Easter), children of the parish (for all Pre-K through 4th Graders) are invited to participate in the Young Peoples’ Liturgy of the Word at the 9:30 AM Mass.

Ministers of Care Needed to Bring Communion to the Sick and Homebound – St. Michael Parish is looking for people who enjoy praying with and bringing the Eucharist to parishioners who are homebound, hospitalized or in nursing homes. Training is provided and will take place at St. George Parish, 6707 175th St. in Tinley Park on May 6, 7 and 8 from 6:30 to 9:30 PM.
Three St. Michael’s Student Lector Program Training Sessions will be offered each month from September through May. Choose one. Children from any grade are accepted at any of the sessions. Students in Grades 3-8 from St. Michael School, St. Michael Religious Education and Students being home schooled are eligible to join.
Can You Serve as a Eucharistic Minister or Lector at St. Michael? – Each one of us is called to serve our Lord and grow His church here on earth and perhaps you’re being called to serve at our Masses as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist or a Lector. Our Vicariate for the Archdiocese of Chicago is offering an Initial Liturgy Training for Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist and for Lectors. Sessions will be held on Saturday, May 18 from 10 AM until 2 PM at Incarnation / St. Terrence Parish, 4300 W. 119th Place, Alsip.
