The annual Pray For Our Nation observance will be held at the Grotto of Our Lady of Sorrows located at 5900 West 147th Street in Oak Forest on the grounds of the Missionary Sisters of St. Benedict. We are happy to announce our main speaker: Bishop Mark Bartosic. Bishop Bartosic has been very active in Pro-Life ministry, addressing both abortion and euthanasia, as well as the plight of those living on the margins.

MORNING OF REFLECTION FOR WOMEN – Each month, the School Sisters of St. Francis of Christ the King offer a Morning of Reflection for Woman at Mount Assisi Center in Lemont (formerly Mount Assisi Academy High School). The morning includes prayer, meditation and time for sharing. A continental breakfast and lunch are served. A $30 donation is requested.
St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Parish welcomes Former Radio Personality Kevin Matthews as he presents his film: Broken Mary, The Kevin Matthews Story – FREE Event – Books and DVDS will be sold after Kevin’s Talk – Kevin recently took Broken Mary to the Vatican, where Pope Leo XIV named the statue: “Our Lady of the Broken”.
St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Parish is sponsoring a Pilgrimage to the Beatification of Archbishop Fulton Sheen – Everyone is invited to depart on September 23 and return on September 24 – The Beatification Mass will be on September 24 at 2 PM at The Dome at America’s Center in Downtown St. Louis.
The Faithful Friends Women’s Group of St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Parish is hosting a Women’s Retreat on Saturday, October 3 – The Growing in Grace Women’s Retreat will begin with Mass, followed by a light breakfast. The speaker will conduct getting-to-know-you activities prior to their presentation. Following lunch, there will be breakout sessions that revolve around self-care, faith, and personal growth. It should be a beautiful day filled with faith, friendship and rejuvenation.
