Prayer Angel Lenten Challenge

What is God calling you to do this Lent? Consider praying for people in need this Lent as part of the ST. MICHAEL PRAYER ANGEL LENTEN CHALLENGE – We gather our Prayer Angels and Prayer Recipients so we can spread Jesus’ love, hope, and healing this Lent through the power of prayer and kindness.

Lenten Crosses

Each Lent, beginning on Ash Wednesday (FEBRUARY 18), the Social Concerns Ministry puts out paper crosses with labels in the Narthex requesting items needed by members of our sharing parish St. Basil – Visitation, St. Vincent de Paul, Aid for Women, and other local charities or gift cards to be used to purchase needed items. You may select a cross and purchase the items listed on it as an expression of your commitment to the practice of almsgiving. Crosses are available throughout the season of Lent. We ask that unwrapped items be returned to the Narthex with the cross attached before Palm Sunday (MARCH 29).

Disciple Maker Index Survey

Our parish is on a journey to know, love, and serve Christ as a parish community. Together, we must embrace Christ’s vision for missionary discipleship so our parish can thrive and be a place for others to grow together in faith. The very first step in this process involves assessing our greatest strengths and opportunities, and that is where the Disciple Maker Index (DMI) comes in! The DMI is an important survey tool that invites you to reflect on your discipleship journey here at St. Michael. The survey will be available beginning on February 18 through March 31.

Annual Catholic Appeal

The Annual Catholic Appeal offers an opportunity to join with others and affirm that “together we bring light.” In addition to providing for ministries and services throughout the Archdiocese, the Annual Catholic Appeal also funds services that are of great help to St. Michael Parish.

St. Michael School – Archangel Club

The Archangel Club provides a fun and meaningful way to recognize grandparents, their financial contributions and distinguish them in the community and at games as grand supporters of our team and their grandkids.

The Seven Sisters Apostolate

The Seven Sisters Apostolate, founded in St. Paul, MN, ten years ago, is called to strengthen the Church by ensuring that a Holy Hour is prayed each day of the week for the sole intention of a specific priest – a “holy wasting” (cf. Mt. 26:10) or lavishing of prayer for his deeper conformity to Christ. A Seven Sisters group begins when at least seven women respond to a call to the mission of the apostolate. This generous commitment of one hour per week of prayer is asked for a period of one year, but can remain open-ended in time as each individual discerns her call to continue.
